Since becoming conference rivals Horned Frogs owns the edge on wvu, winning four of 6 meetings outright including a 31-24 decision 2017 season. Why the TCU Horned Frogs can cover the spread
TCU just snapped a three-game losing skid with a windy 14-13 victory over Kansas State last week. The Frogs turned an early takeaway into the game’s first touchdown, took a 7-7 tie into the half, then regained the lead at 14-7 in the third quarter. They then allowed the Wildcats to score a touchdown early in the fourth, but Kansas State missed the extra point and TCU hung on from there.
Jeremy:Big Mike will need to have a much better day throwing the football than he did last week 10. For TCU Horned Frogs to even have a chance, he’ll need 300-plus yards through the air. Unfortunately, with the run game not producing much the West Virginia Mountaineers defense can key on stopping the pass. Collins finishes with 215 yards through the air.
Geoff:Mike Collins will face a tall task taking on Gibson and his 3-3-5 defense. Even after an emotional win in Austin,I expect the Mountaineer defense to be locked in. While avoiding turnovers, Collins still struggles as he throws for 182.
Daniel:Western Virginia Mountaineers isn’t known as a defensive team necessarily, but since ESPN has them at #9, and AP at #7,I guess they’re doing something right on that side of the ball. Collins didn’t have that bad of a game against Kansas, but it wasn’t the best either, and West Virginia is not Kansas. He’ll give it his best but WVU defense will stifle him to around 150 yards at the end of the day.
So,Who leads the rushing charge and how many yards?Jeremy: Darius Anderson will lead the Frogs rushing attack but unfortunately it won’t be that many yards. Anderson finishes the day with 48 yards on the ground.
